Lilac Wasserman is a New York City-based writer, filmmaker, and mother of four. Drawing on years of firsthand observation inside the city’s most rarefied social circles, she writes about the quiet, invisible constraints that can exist within even the most enviable marriages.

An award-winning documentary filmmaker and Senior Producer / Creative Director, Wasserman brings complex human stories to life through character-driven storytelling. Her work explores resilience, identity, and the human spirit in times of crisis.

Caged Wives is her debut novel, adapted from her original feature screenplay CAGED.
